On Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 6:30 pm, Alexandria Central School will be hosting an Internet Safety Night for parents of students in grades K-12. Todays children are extremely tech-savvy, so we are inviting parents and community members to learn more about the potential risks of misuse of the internet and cellphones. Topics will include: internet predators, cyberbulling, internet addiction, sexting, and preventative measures for parents. We will be meeting in the auditorium and door prizes will be given out to those who attend. Presenters will be Kevin Durr, ACS High School Counselor, Kendra Moshier, Student Assistance Counselor, and Lily Gionet, Computer Technology Instructor.
Update..
Babysitting will be provided at the school in our MPR room for parents wishing to attend the Internet Safety Night that have young children. This is a free service provided by PACE (Partners in Alexandria Central Education).
