Thousand Islands Boating Safety Course for 2011

There will be an ABS Boating Safety Course Offered at the Alex Bay Village Hall on Monday April 18 and Tuesday April 19 from 5 :30 - 9:30 pm. Cost is $ 35.00 with a family rate available.

These eight hour courses are open to youth and adults. Youth ages 10-18 need this course to operate a boat without adult supervision. People ages 14 and up need this course to operate a personal watercraft (jet ski) or if caught without it will pay a $ 100 fine. This course is good for ones lifetime. Most insurance companies provide a discount with this course as well. Call Gary Kocher at 315-486-5230 to register.
