"Work is underway for the re-opening of the Cornwall Brothers Store Museum for the 2014 season. Among several new exhibits being introduced is a special tribute to the fun and fantasy of Adventure Town, the popular theme park of the 50's and 60's. There are a number of items of memorabilia and souvenirs in the museum's collection, but additional pieces are always welcome. If any households have Adventure Town items which may have been forgotten over the years; pushed to the back of closets or packed in dusty trunks, these would be welcome as loans or donations. Every piece of local history is significant. Anyone wishing to contribute or share information related to this exhibit may email aths@castletv.com."

Adventure Town was a wild west theme park located in Alexandria Bay, NY. It opened in the summer of 1955 and closed on Labor Day, 1961. The park had stage coaches, a steam locomotive, stunt shows, an Indian Village, and it's own lake. The project was done by Bud Hebert and George Clark, owners of the Edgewood Resort Hotel and international speedway. According to some the park was very successful, but was closed because the owners found it difficult to manage both the theme park and their other ventures. http://www.adventuretown.net/
