Ronald Spooner sent these pictures into the site. It is a bathouse he built. He says it currently has no tenants but he will keep us posted if anything interesting happens.
"So I built this very fine bat house so our dear nocturnal friends can live like rich bats. Bats can eat 1,000 mosquitos an hour. Birds eat zero mosquitos an hour. Birds don't fly at night but skeeters and bats do - that was easy. They even have a miniature DirecTV! All it gets is the Batman movies, so far. No tenants as yet. What do they want, sidewalks?
"

If anyone is wondering according to the plans there is a 3/4" opening along the bottom. The back wall is window screen for them to cling to. The bat folks are safer up high on a flat place safe from predators such as cats, snakes and raccoons.
