Ok, so I talked to some of the pond hockey organizers today and this is the latest info..

The pond hockey tournament is scheduled for Feb 10th-12th 2012

They have 6 inches of Ice on the North Side of the upper docks in front of Cavallarios Pizza..
They are planning on having 3 rinks on that side of the docks and will start flooding them thurs after weds expected rain.. They'll be working on the ice up until the tournament to get it in as good of shape as possible..

They have about 40 people signed up and would like to see a lot more teams.. so if you are interested in making up a team please do so quickly so they can plan things out.. Obviously if 15 more teams suddenly sign up they might need to set up more ice space.. Call them at 315-482-9531.. must be 21 to play.. team entry fee is $180.00..  teams are 4-6 people..

All teams competing in the Division Finals will be given a complimentary Labatt tournament jersey to wear during the Finals and keep as a prize.

I'm told each game will be 50 minutes long and consist of 2 (25 minute periods)..

The Alex Bay Lodge area will be the backup ice location should something happen and the ice near the upper docks can not be used..

If the event can not happen refunds will be given as there is NO RAIN DATE.
