From 10:00 am until 4:00 pm on May 17th.
The United States Coast Guard has invited Federal, State, & local boating safety agencies and safety equipment manufactures/vendors to participate with manned exhibits and demonstrations focusing on water and boating safety themes such as properly fitting a life jacket (PFD), proper use of visual distress signals and handling common medical emergencies while boating on our Great Lakes.
Additionally, a Coast Guard water rescue demonstration, tours of the Alexandria Bay Coast Guard station. The Expo will run from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm on May 17th.
Each booth will focus on a specific boating safety theme and will be manned by Safety Equipment manufacturers/vendors, Federal, State and County experts on that topic. These boating safety experts will answer detailed questions, provide advice, literature and references just for you and your specific needs. It's also a way for boaters to get the latest information on new technology and trends.
Agencies and vendors that will be in attendance include:

United States Customs and Border Protection
New York State Park Police
New York State Police
West Marine
Tow Boat US
Clayton Fire Department
The Coast Guard Auxiliary will be conducted free Boating Safety Examinations at the Alexandria Bay Coast Guard Station
